Undersheriff David Borzotta
Undersheriff Borzotta is a 25 year veteran of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s office who retired in 2017 as Captain of Detectives. During his career with the Prosecutor’s office, Borzotta served as an Undercover Narcotics Detective for 12 years; had a 2-year assignment at the DEA Newark Field Division; and served as Lieutenant of the BCPO Narcotics Task Force. Borzotta has worked to educate students about the dangers of opioid abuse and played an important role in developing “Operation Helping Hands”, a coordinated effort between the law enforcement community and the Recovery and Medical communities in an effort to combat the spread of Opiates in Bergen County. Undersheriff Borzotta has a Master’s Degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
